2022 is a calendar year built for following through on resolutions. From the small time resolutions set forth at the start of the year, to more tedious renovations that can be performed throughout the subsequent months of the year, discover the inspiration and motivation for home improved in 2022.

Think of this as your home renovation almanac for 2022 with ideas for transforming your living accommodations into outstanding living spaces.

        January

The top of the year is the perfect time to tune up your home’s HVAC system. Heating and cooling is a priority no matter what time of year it is. While cold months call for your furnace and hot months call for air conditioning, neither will perform in top condition if they’re not up to par.

Have your units inspected by technicians before having specialists take a look at the vents and insulation in your home. These, when properly cared for and regularly inspected, are the easiest ways to prevent any HVAC blunders in the near or distant future.

        February

The second month of the year is an ideal time to give your home a fresh coat of paint, both inside and out. With the help of custom tarps, you can prevent any potential spills or splatters.

Think you know everything there is to know about painting your home? Think again. Painting like the pros is all about efficiency, time management, and staying on task. Don’t sweat the small stuff and instead focus your attention on picking out the perfect swatches to compliment the bones of your home.

        March

March into spring with hacks that will leave your home clean as a whistle. From dusting and mopping to organizing and donating, sometimes home improvement is all about working with what you already have, including storing away items you don’t regularly use with storage bags.

Chances are your home is full of items you don’t use, have grown out of (in the case of clothes), or don’t really need anymore. Figure out what can be trashed, what can be donated, and what should be kept. In doing this, you make cleaning easy as a spring breeze. If you do end up starting

        April

With the weather hinging somewhere between hot and cold, it’s not quite time to reopen your outdoor living areas full time or remove the custom covers protecting your outdoor furniture, making April most opportune for giving your kitchen a facelift.

When tackling your kitchen renovation, keep the big three in mind:

        • Cabinets
        • Countertops
        • Appliances

Focusing on these three areas is the easiest way to fast track your renovation and allow you to entertain to your heart’s content before the summer gets into swing.

        May

Everyone spends a tedious amount of time working on their backyard lawnscape but what about the curb appeal on the front end of your house? Ensuring your house looks amazing from a streetside view will have your neighbors green with lawn envy.

        June

Finally, after months of cooler weather, the swelter of June brings about the best time of the year: summer vacation season. Before venturing out on summer vacation, make sure your home is fortified and secure.

From the obvious security system upgrades and maintenance to more focused areas of safety and protection, ensure your home is ready to wait while you and your family are away.

        July

Is your patio ready for Independence Day? Refurbishing what you already have in your outdoor living space is the easy way to revamp your porch or patio this July. Whether you’re installing a rock garden or giving your porch a fresh coat of stain, you can count on the hard work paying off when it’s time to pull off your table covers and entertain guests.

        August

Get back in the groove of returning to school by improving your family’s organizational skills and overall home by creating a family command center. While the image of a “command center” might conjure a battleship, a family command center is simply a calendar and corresponding area that designates scheduling, availability, and necessity for your family.

Your command center can be something as simple as a calendar on the fridge annotating the who, what, when, and whereabouts of your family or something as lavish as a color coordinated pinboard with exact dates, days, times, and appointments.

        September

Think again if you think you know everything there is to know about caulking. From bathroom projects to filling in cracks in the great outdoors, caulk is one of the most versatile tools in your home improvement arsenal. This September, go caulk crazy with projects using the invaluable wonder of this polyurethane miracle

        October

Feeding your lawn is not to be confused with seeding your lawn. Like all living creatures, grass needs to be properly fed in order to live a happy and healthy life. October is the ideal month of the year to feed your lawn so it can hibernate with nutrients for the winter.

        November

Designate the month before the holiday season for home inspection. Ever wondered what it takes to point out the problem areas in a home? Find out what to look for when evaluating the interior and exterior of your home.

        December

Have a spare bedroom you haven’t the faintest idea of what to do with? Give guests of your home a hotel-like experience by turning your guest room into a guest suite. With 500 thread count sheets, a deluxe massage chair, you can transform your extra bedroom into an amazing home away from home for a lucky guest this holiday season. That’s, without question, a home improved.
